PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professions Earn 2024 AP Honor Roll Recognitions

SAN JUAN – The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) Collegiate School of Health Professions has been recognized by the College Board as a recipient of the 2024 AP Honor Roll Bronze Award and Access Award. The accolade celebrates the school’s commitment to advancing academic achievement and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

The AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professions has been recognized with the 2024 AP School Honor Roll Bronze award for developing an AP program that creates a college-going culture and gives students opportunities to earn college credit and maximize their college outcomes.

Additionally, the school has also earned the 2024 AP Access Award, which honors schools that demonstrate a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework. Schools earn the additional award if the percentage of AP Exam takers who are underrepresented minority and/or low-income students mirrors the school's overall student demographics.

“This recognition reflects our continuous efforts in ensuring that all students have the opportunity to excel and receive equitable access to AP courses as well as the support needed to pursue challenging, college-level coursework,” said PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professions Principal Mariza Saenz. “At PSJA Collegiate, we believe in the power of education to transform lives, and we are thrilled to see our students rise to the challenge of AP courses, demonstrating resilience and determination. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our entire school community, and we look forward to continuing to inspire future generations of learners to reach their full potential.”
